Click, click, click.
The sound of the camera was evident in the quiet of the pier. Usually you could hear the gulls calling or the dull hum of a boat's engine. Today there was nothing. Of course, no one would risk coming out in this weather. No one but Demi that is.
Swollen, midnight black clouds hung over the navy sea. The waves tossed and turned violently. A piece of driftwood was caught in the waves. It was thrown about carelessly, making it an excellent subject. In quick succession, Demi took a few pictures. The angst would be obvious in the pictures, making it some of his best work yet.
Sighing, Demi sat down on the edge of the pier. His bare feet dangled over the side. The sea splashed violently below him, spraying his legs. It was cold, but not that bad. His faded blue jeans had quite a few rips in them. The chilly air swirled around him, stringing the exposed part of his arms. Maybe wearing a tee hadn't been the best idea. Especially since the grey one he was wearing was paper thin.
Shivering slightly, he positioned his camera in front of his face. It was hard not to pose, but he wanted this to look real. Click. Checking it on the screen, Demi grimaced at the sight. He looked so... not normal. People were his favorite subjects, but when they knew pictures were being taken of them, the became another person entirely. Nature was the second best choice, it couldn't hide what it really was. But then, it didn't have the same play of emotions that humans did.
Sighing, Demi looked at the deserted streets. He wished someone would come by, anyone. It was rather depressing, not having anyone to take a picture of. His models didn't have to be drop-dead gorgeous, they just had to simply be. Sighing once more, Demi turned to look out at the sea. It looked so violent today, as opposed to yesterday, when it had been a calm, serene blue. How quickly it changed it's mood. It was almost like a person, showing off it's true nature.
