Vega was going to find something to help the cure of the sick animals that they have been nursing for the past few weeks. She didn’t understand why the animals were sick. Many of her co-workers were trying to find a cure for them by using medical science they have now. It isn’t really helping the animals, because they are still the same as before. They were sluggish, not eating, and crying in pain to the scientist, showing their emotions to everyone. It was hurting her to see them suffering from an illness that they can’t solve. Yet smart little Vega will find a cure to help the animals they have been researching about.
Vega took a slip of her frappuccino and look at a book of medical cure that scientists had create and help people to get well. So many different kinds of cures that could help the animals, yet none of them would work. Many of her co-workers has try it but it was like they need more of something, but she didn’t know what was the something to help. She had to just mix the chemicals together and see which one will work on the animals. Vega started to write down on her notebook what chemicals are known to react positive with each other and what will just cause an explosive. She didn’t need to blow up the lab or anything, which is why she will take her time to solve this great mystery of the animals being ill.
”This is like Resident Evil gone bad in the real world,” she spoke to herself, writing the notes of the different chemicals on her notebook. ”Now all that we are missing is the animals going crazy on us to turn us to zombies or something evil.” Vega really didn’t believe it will get that bad, yet just reminding her how to find a cure for these animals were causing her to think that it is like Resident Evil. She prayed in her mind that a breakout doesn’t occur in New York. She pulled the book down and drank a bit more of her frappuccino. Being one of the youngest scientists, she was going to show everyone that she was going to cure the animals before the illness starts to spread that will cause problems.
Vega let out a yawn and picked up another book. ”Well it beats working in the lab right now.” She didn’t want to stay in the lab to work on the cure, because everyone would be bugging her and that will not help her find a cure. Plus she been there twenty hours out of twenty four hours already was really taking a toll on her. She had to get away from the lab, before she snaps and not in a good way snap. She got in a yelling fight with some of her co-workers on how dumb it was to try and use the same meds on them again. If it didn’t work the first time, why they think it would work on them this time. Vega sighed to herself and started to read the book she was holding in her hand.

call me crazy they are afterus one by one one by one - - Being a vetrinary surgeon for one of New York City's finest Vetrinary Clinics had both it's up's and downs. From a young age Spencer had loved animals, He had devoted most of his childhood to helping his father run the small farm they had owned in Pennsylvania. After graduation he had come to San Fransisco seeing out employment and luckily for him he managed to get it, In the San Fran Vetrinary Practice. One where renouned celebrities brought their pampered pooches or their Treasured Tom-Cats.
As his working day drew to a close Spencer packed up his gear and slid it into the safe before washing his hands and stripping off his blue scrubs. Brushing his fingers through his hair the male exited the surgery heading down the sidewalk. Naturally his first stop before going home as always was starbucks. Grab a coffee to go and then continue on the half hour hike back home. Today was like any other day, But he was glad it was close to an end. He needed a vacation or something seeing as the long work hours were beginning to take their toll and the young Vet hardly had any time for his animal rights activities
As he stepped into the building and headed for the counter Spencer could not help but peer over to a female, speaking to herself. His eyebrow arched and he grinned ordering the plain black coffee he did every single day. His life was a routine and as much as he hated it there was nothing he could do. He needed to work the long hours to pay the bills. Once he had been served Spencer headed over to the door stopped and looked over at the female.
"You know talking to yourself is the first sign of madness" He said cheerfully taking a sip of the steaming hot coffee before adjusting his stance "Could not help but overhear what you were saying. What do you mean resident evil?" He asked curiously. .

With a book the size of three Harry Potter and a Twilight together on the table and her drink in her hand, Vega was ready to have some fun. Fun...reading a medical book in Starbucks, she must be really going insane. Yet she must find a cure for the sick animals or they might either die or try to speard their sickness to everyone. Maybe when she discover the cure, she can write a book, showing that a young scientist like herself can do the impossible and rub it in their faces. Oh she would love that a lot.
Vega heard a voice not too far from her and decide to look up. She saw a handsome man standing there, with a coffee in his hand. She just gave him a light smile and push back some of her hair behind her ear. She must look like a mess right now. Her hair had to be sticking out everywhere and her eyes must have bags under them for the lack of sleep. Vega wiped her eyes a bit to wake up and looked back to the guy, giving her a curious look.
"I think it is a bit too late to tell me that I'm crazy," she replied to him, closing the big book in front of her. She stretch a bit for sitting in the same spot for two hours now. Vega looked at him and gave him a light smile. "Resident Evil...oh I was just thinking of the game for some odd reason no big deal." She didn't want to tell some random stranger that she was trying to solve a crisis with the animals before it could be a resident evil.
Vega elbowed her books and everything went flying onto the ground. Lucky for her that she had her drink in her hand. If it wasn't in her hand, the books would be ruined that she will kill herself that she had to pay for them and her notes that she been working on for the past few weeks on her project would be gone. "Damn..." she mumbled, as she got out of her seat. Vega set the drink on another table so she doesn't spill it. She bended down to start scooping up the papers and books, forgetting about the guy she was speaking to for the moment.

call me crazy they are afterus one by one one by one - - Spencer loved his job as a vetrinaty technician. He had always wanted to work with animals. Much to the surprise of his family who had always wanted him to follow in the family buisness. Spencer never liked doing things the way that was expected of him however and as soon as he'd graduated high school the male had run off to college. He had not been in contact with his family since.
"Never too late to warn someone about the dangers of craziness" Spencer pointed out giving her a grin. So this was the Vega he had spoken to over Aim "Well here I am and I'm not old see!" Flashing the female a grin Spencer moved towards her sitting himself down on the chair opposite. "and I am guessing you are Vega.." Holding out his hand the Vet grinned "Spencer Damara, Nice to meet you honey"
She was adorable to say the least. Well he could have come up with a few more comments to accompany that observation but he was not about to think it over too much. After all this was only their first meeting and he only hoped it did not turn sour on them. "Yeah I use to play the gams on the PS when I was younger. They were pretty sick" He grinned "I need a PS3 but being a ve..a lawyer it takes up a lot of my time you know" Having caught himself before saying he was a vet after he'd lied and said he was a lawyer Spencer hoped Vega would not pick up on his almost slip-up.
The vet's eyebrows arched a little as her books fell to the ground. He was about to move to assist but she'd picked them up "So do you fancy a bite to eat here or someplace else?" Spencer asked curiously. Brushing his fingers through his hair the male smiled. "It's totally up to you no pressure" He winked.

Believe me, do you think I just read these books for my enjoyment. People must think that I am crazy to read this,” she answered him, giving a light smile. She watched him joined her at the table, as she pushed some of the books out of the way to get a view of him. It was like a little library she had on the table. It was to the point that you could barely see over. “Yup that would be me, well it better be me or I’m S.O.L.,” she joked with him. She saw his hand and took it and gave it a shake, “Vega Kim, really nice to meet you. Guess you aren’t old as I thought.” She let out a little giggle and pulled her hand away.
She had to admit that he was good looking, but she didn’t want to admit it. She looked at him with a curious look, as she spoke about Resident Evil. How she wish she didn’t say anything, but at least it was something to talk about for the time being. “Well I have to admit I like Code Veronica over the others, because it was hard for me. Took me like four months to actually beat it. I do have a PS3 but I don’t have time since I have been working on a project at work.” She didn’t notice that he almost slip but, because she was just so beat from all the reading she done the past few hours. She finally picked up the books and placed them back on the table. She moved some of her hair out of her eyes and sighed. She looked at him and gave him a smile. “Be lucky that you don’t have to read all of this. Yet you do read a lot as a lawyer. Well now I know if I need a lawyer, I can go to you to help me in court,” she joked.
She gave him a smile and blushed a bit, as he asked her to get a bite to eat. She really knows that Starbucks doesn’t sale a bunch of food, just cookies, coffees, and that was pretty much it. She looked at all her books and smile at him. “Sure I wouldn’t might a bite to eat. There isn’t really much anything to eat at this place so you can choose. I don’t really mind, but I have to put all of these books back in my car.” She pointed to at least eight books on the table. “Took me about two trips to get all in here.” Vega turned to him again and just shrugged. “Do you think that you can help this little girl in carrying her books to her car?”

call me crazy they are afterus one by one one by one - - Spencer had grown up in relative poverty. His parents hard worked hard for what they had given their son but it had never been much. Christmas had normally been a somber affair. Spence could not complain however, Where the family lacked in money they made up in care and devotion to one another. But as in all high schools Spencer's wealth status had contributed to much of his bullying. Those rich kids at Cornerstone Academy had always picked on him, Making fun of the hand me down clothes and being pretty little pricks. But he'd wiped the smirk off half of their faces at graduation and thus after. Becoming a Vet (although Vega thought of him as a lawyer) where as the other students, the rich and petty ones had not amounted to much.
Spencer's eyes trailed over Vega for a moment. She was adorable if truth be told. Averting his gaze the male smiled "A little crazy's always good" He stated with a sly wink directed at the female "After all normal is a little boring right?" He said as he brought the mug to his lips and took another swig. Once he had shaken her hand Spencer grinned "Was that almost a compliment?" The male asked with yet another wide grin.
"Code Veronica did have it's perks but I am thinking you liked it because of Steve" Giving Vega a cheeky nod the male set his mug down and lent back in his chair "Everyone loves Steve, Though I was more of a Claire fan myself and that cross-dressing guy? yeah well I got a shock when I found out it wasn't actually Alexa" Realizing how dorky he probably sounded Spencer did not continue with his opinion and description of the game.
"I do read a lot you know. Case files and all" Spencer said hoping to god the woman did not want to know too much about his job considering Spencer had no real idea what a lawyer did other than pace around a court room yelling at the defendant or the accused,
“Do you think that you can help this little girl in carrying her books to her car?” Smiling Spencer rose from where he sat and nodded "Of course it would be my pleasure" He said holding out his hands to receive the books "Anywhere in particular you'd like go to for food?"

♥ The gap between idealism and reality ♥ ♥ I S S O V E R Y C U T T I N G♥ ♥ And as we cannot cut them off, they are opening up ♥ ♥ * * * * * ♥ * * * * * ♥ * * * * * ♥ * * * * * ♥ * * * * * ♥ Vega was teased as a young child because she was known as a genius. She hated it how everyone at school would just pick on her or try to force her to do their work. She didn’t want to tell anyone how she was being bullied because then they would think she is a weak. Her parents were also busy, doing their jobs as entertainers in Sin City. She didn’t really see them so much, compare to her sister. She was happy that she got out of high school two years earlier, so she wouldn’t be torture by the bullies anymore. She didn’t mention to anyone that she was finishing school early. It was like a pie in the face for them. She was accepted to so many different colleges, but decided to go Columbia University in New York City. Vega went to get her degree early and even double major. Now she is working here in San Francisco at one of the top labs. Sometimes, being a genius does have it good side.
“Oh a little crazy is all right at times, but you don’t want to see me working overtime for like two days straight. A little crazy turn into insanity with a white jacket and padded room,” she kept a straight face to see his reaction. She just giggled and shook her head. “I’m kidding, I haven’t gone insane ever.” She shrugged her shoulders and nodded. “You can take it as one,” she told him, finishing the last of her drink. Vega listened to his opinion about Resident Evil and smile. She wrinkled her nose when she mentioned Steve. “Actually the only reason I play that game is because Chris was in it and I love him in all the games that he appeared in, but you did a good guess which was wrong.” She patted him on the shoulder and tosses her cup in the trash that was near her.
“Maybe one day, we can trade jobs. I do get tired spending time in a lab, just doing a lot of science. Maybe some law and order will just help me,” she said to him, standing up from her seat. She handed him a five books and smile. “I hope you are strong, Spence. I don’t want to fall over with all these books.” She picked up the remaining three books and pushed some of her hair out of her eyes. “I really don’t care where we eat. You ask so you get to choose. I’m not picky at all,” Vega told him. They exited the place and got to her car. She opened the trunk and placed her books in there. “You can put the books here,” she told him, moving some of her notes out of the way. “Sorry about the mess, when you are working 24/7, you have your work with you all the time.”

call me crazy they are afterus one by one one by one - - Spencer had always been an intelligent guy. He'd gotten through University easily and his devotion to animals had been evident from a young age. Living on a farm and assisting his father with the livestock had been pretty fun for him. His eyes checked Vega out again and the same cheeky grin spread across his lips. She was attractive there was denying it. But she was also a scientist working in a lab that Spencer had heard tested on animals. If that was truth or not Spence had no idea btut by befriending this adorable woman he was certain to get answers sooner or later.
Spencer laughed lightly at the female's comment "Insanity, Crazy all the same" He said giving Vega yet another wink "Besides i'd not let them take you. You have my word" As they rose from where they were sat the Vet nodded in agreement "Steve was a bit of a wuss...Still I like Claire best" The male stated.
Trading jobs?! the vet felt a lump form in his throat but nodded slowly "Hmm maybe but being a Lawyer can be oh so very dull at times. It's best you stick to an eventful job like being a scientist. Besides I know nothing about Science and I have no doubt I'd be fired on my first day" He partially lied. Well Spencer was a Vet so Biology was his forte not Chemistry.
"Do I look strong to you?" Spencer asked mischeviously smiling as his eyes danced across her chest for a split second "I'll be fine" Following her out of the cafe he nodded setting the books he carried down in the trunk of the car. "Trust me my car is a wreck right now. It's fine" Looking down the sidewalk he grinned "How about we go there?" He pointed over to a small cafe "Looks quiet and no driving involved"

♥ The gap between idealism and reality ♥ ♥ I S S O V E R Y C U T T I N G♥ ♥ And as we cannot cut them off, they are opening up ♥ ♥ * * * * * ♥ * * * * * ♥ * * * * * ♥ * * * * * ♥ * * * * * ♥ Vega felt the blush coming up on her face, as he was giving her a wink. She really doesn’t get a lot of attention because she was known as Miss Smarty Pants. Nobody looks her way because she is a scientist, which means she was too smart to get anyone to notice her. She isn’t use to that and now getting the attention just by one person was a lot. She didn’t know how to handle it so she was just going to wing it. “Thank you, you are like my knight in shining armor,” she said to him, giving him a small smile. Okay now she sounds like one of those girls that believe in happy endings. She felt her cheeks getting hot and kept her head down so he doesn’t see it.
“Well I didn’t play the game because of Claire of Steve. I just wanted to play as Chris okay,” she admitted to him. “And it’s a bit sad that we are saying that game characters are hot.” Vega coughed a bit and looked up at him. He was a bit nervous about her mentioning to trade jobs. She just let out a giggle and smiled at him. “I was just kidding, Spencer. You don’t have to trade jobs with me. Knowing my luck, I would do something wrong and get you fired. And no firing me, I do like my job thank you.” She does like her job; well she is trying to find a cure to save animals from a sickness that nobody knows about. She wants to save them before it starts to wipe out species.
They dropped off her books in the trunk and she was glad that someone was helping her for once. Usually if she brings in a lot of books, nobody would mind her because they were big and too hard for them to understand. She was happy to meet someone that was really a gentleman. She looked at what he was pointing at and she smiled. “Sure that seems like a nice place to eat. I been there a few times, well I mean that I don’t have time to cook for myself because of the long hours that I work.” It was true; she was always eating out or whatever and never has time to cook a meal for herself. She followed Spencer close but still to keep her distance from him. She doesn’t want him to think that she was trying to get ‘too close’ to him already. He was a handsome and charming guy, but she doesn’t want him to think that she was just some craze girl that just wants a guy.
“So Spencer…” she started to speak to him, but didn’t know what to take about. Vega really don’t interact with boys too much, but she tries. “Uh…what do you like to do Spencer, besides being my knight and shining armor?” she blushed at him, looking down at his hand. She was thinking about putting her hand into his but that was moving way too fast.
